Effect of air filtration system on gas turbine performance

Abstract

This paper considers the feasibility of using filtering elements that have uniform filtration potential to replace the regular system of filtration of gas turbine plants for Kazan CHP. The "missed"benefit of the CHP associated with emergency stops due to the destruction of the flowing part of the axial compressor, "under-receiving"profit related to the lack of electricity and power due to the deviation of the technical and economic indicators of the gas turbine plant from nominal values when the flowing part of the axial compressor deviated. An assessment of the impact of unscheduled washing and replacement of the integrated air-cleaning device's filtering element to restore the electrical power of the gas turbine plant has been carried out. A method for evaluating the efficiency of replacing filter elements in the air treatment system for gas turbine installations is proposed. The main dependences and factors affecting the efficiency of the air filtration system in complex air purification devices of gas turbine plants are considered
