In 1891 he came to this country alone , settl ing first in Pipestone County , Minnesota here he orked on a farm for one year. He then ent to Io a where he started fa.rming for himself . In 1893 he returned to innesota and rented farm in Pipestone County which he operated fort o years , after which he moved to Rock county here he lived for t el ve years. In 1908 he moved ba,ok to Pipestone county where he ran a farm for four year . From 1912 to 1925 he operated a f rm in Swift county. Then he retired and moved to elrose His chief crops ere oats and corn. Very 1 i ttle wheat was ra.ised . John N. Fa t - was married Janua.ry 28 , 1895 in Luverne , innesota. to Elizabeth Cook.
