The purpose of this survey project is to compile a comprehensive inventory of
historic resources in the City of Georgetown outside of the Georgetown National
Register Historic District. This information will be used as a planning tool by
both the City of Georgetown and the South Carolina Department of Archives and
History. From this inventory recommendations will be made for
properties and/or districts eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic
Places
