中国的译学构架中口译研究一直是个极为薄弱的环节,本文旨在通过对西方口译研究的的历史与现状的评介,为起步较晚、急需大力发展的中国口译研究提供一定的参考与借鉴。西方口译研究以会议口译的研究最为系统,其发展过程呈现出四个明显的阶段性,主要围绕五大研究主题,产生了四种很有影响的研究视角以及多个口译研究中心。文章最后分析了西方口译研究面临的问题和发展趋势。This paper presents a picture of the Interpreting Research (or IR) in the West, its history and current status, with the aim of providing a guide for IR in China which is only just beginning to take off. From a critical perspective, the author examines the development phases, the research themes and most influential paradigms of IR in the West.
