Assembly and final inspection of blower with electronically commutated drive

Abstract

In the company where the master\u27s work was done, an important area is the individual and small-scale production of blowers driven by electronically commutated electric motors. Technical preparation and adaptation of production for a new product family requires the preparation and adaptation of work stations so that the changes introduced will not hinder the production of existing products. The master\u27s thesis begins with a theory of the working principle of electronically commutated electric motors. Next part describes the assembly process and the characteristics of various types of production, including in light of industry 4.0. The following section describes a work methodology with an emphasis on product structure and assembly process and analyzes the possibilities for improving assembly and server operations across work stations. The central part of the assignment provides a detailed description of all working stations, updates performed, problems detected, and analysis of final product inspection. The result of the master\u27s thesis is an optimized blower assembly process with all working stations, operations and a manufactured blower, including the illustration and discussion of final inspection results
