Características clínicas, laboratoriales y terapéuticas en pacientes con lupus eritematoso sistémico del Hospital Vicente Corral Moscoso en el año 2019
ANTECEDENTES: el Lupus Eritematoso Sistémico (LES) es una enfermedad de
distribución mundial consistente en un estado inflamatorio autoinmune que
contribuye a un espectro clínico de presentación multisistémica.
OBJETIVO: determinar la frecuencia de las características clínicas, laboratoriales y
terapéuticas en pacientes con LES del Hospital Vicente Corral Moscoso en el año
2019.
MATERIALES Y MÉTODOS: es un estudio descriptivo. Se realizó la recolección de
datos a partir de historias clínicas de pacientes diagnosticados con LES en el
Hospital Vicente Corral Moscoso durante el año 2019. Se analizaron datos
sociodemográficos, clínicos, de laboratorio, de tratamiento y de actividad de la
enfermedad. Todos los datos se analizaron con el programa Epi Info 7 y la base de
datos se manejó en Microsoft Excel.
RESULTADOS: se estudió una población de 91 pacientes con diagnóstico de LES,
la edad promedio fue de 34,5 años; más de la mitad de la población estudiada
(51,65%) es soltera; la ocupación con más prevalencia fue quehaceres domésticos
(37,36). Las características clínicas más frecuentes fueron artralgia (47,25%),
eritema malar (38,46%) y astenia (36,26%). Los marcadores inmunológicos
encontrados con más frecuencia fueron los anticuerpos antinucleares (80,49%) y
anti dsDNA (52,63%). El tratamiento empleado con mayor frecuencia fue a base
corticoides en un 81,32% de pacientes.
CONCLUSIÓN: el LES es una enfermedad multisistémica que afecta a mujeres en
edad fértil, la manifestación más prevalente fue artralgia, los marcadores
inmunológicos predominantes fueron los anticuerpos antinucleares y el tratamiento
más utilizado fue a base de corticoides.BACKGROUND: Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) is a worldwide disease

Moscoso Hospital during the year 2019. Sociodemographic, clinical, laboratory,
treatment and disease activity data from electronic medical records from the patients
were analyzed. All data was analyzed with the Epi Info 7 program and the database
was managed on the Microsoft Excel platform.
RESULTS: a population of 91 patients diagnosed with SLE was studied, the average
age was 34.5 years; more than half of the population studied (51.65%) is single; the
most prevalent occupation was housework (37,36). The most frequent clinical
characteristics were arthralgia (47.25%), malar rash (38.46%) and asthenia
(36.26%). The most frequently found immunological markers were antinuclear
antibodies (80.49%) and anti dsDNA (52.63%). The most frequently used treatment
was corticosteroids in 81.32% of patients.
CONCLUSION: SLE is a multisystem disease that mainly affects women of
childbearing age, the most prevalent manifestation was arthralgia, the predominant
immunological marker was antinuclear antibodies and the most used treatment was
