Currently, the high rate of cesarean section has become one of the health problems of our country. Cesarean delivery in Iran is 3-4 times the world health standard and 75% of cesarean sections performed in Iran were without medical indication. Fear of the pain of natural childbirth is the most important factor in choosing cesarean section. In this regard, mother-friendly hospitals have been established in our country to help promote physiological childbirth and reduce the number of elective cesarean sections by creating a friendly environment. Childbirth preparation seems necessary, for this reason, a study was conducted with the aim of investigating the impact of the clinical audit process based on criteria on the indicators of childbirth preparation classes during the Covid-19 pandemic. Aim: Evaluation of the effect of implementing a criterion-based clinical audit process on the indicators of pandemic preparation classes during the pandemic Covid 19 in Kosar Hospital of Qazvin in 2021 Analysis methods: This study was conducted as an interventional and semi-experimental clinical audit method in 2020-2021 in Qazvin. Midwives and pregnant mothers who had the conditions to enter the study were included in the study. The questionnaire of personal and social information and the checklist of criteria announced by the Department of Maternal Health were developed. In the first stage, interviews with midwives regarding the challenges of childbirth preparation classes were conducted in the form of brainstorming and solutions related to the challenges were selected. In the second stage, classes were held based on 4 selected strategies. After 6 months, the indicators were extracted and compared with the indicators before the intervention. SPSS version 32 software was used in the statistical analysis. Chi-square test was used to compare before and after the intervention and to compare qualitative variables. The significance level was determined to be less than 0.05. Results: The results of the present study showed that the interventions carried out by the clinical audit method can have the same effect as the face-to-face classes of preparation for childbirth and were significantly effective in some indicators. According to the results of the present study and the effectiveness of the clinical audit process in increasing the index of natural childbirth, this process can be considered as an effective, applicable model, in accordance with the scientific principles of physiological childbirth, in accordance with the instructions of the mother-friendly hospital and effective on the index of natural childbirth. Introduced. It is recommended to carry out interventions in the field of midwifery based on clinical audit based on criteria at the national level. Because clinical audit based on criteria is a suitable method in developing countries. Information about birth preparation classes and its importance can be considered more than before and through different social media. Also, empowering service providers of childbirth preparation classes should be considered. It is recommended that criteria-based clinical audit be taken into consideration as a suitable tool for improvement and measurable improvement in the quality of service delivery in obstetrics in Iran. Conclusion: In the present study, the number of participants in the class before the intervention was 59 and after the intervention was 78. The rate of normal birth index before the intervention was 57.62% and after the intervention was 62.82% (p=0.00). The number of people in the class (the number of participants in the number of class sessions) was 331 before the intervention and 624 after the intervention (p=0.00). That is, before the intervention, an average of 5.6 sessions out of 8 class sessions were held, while after the intervention, every 8 sessions were held. The number of mothers who attended more than 5 sessions in the class was 79.66% before the intervention and 100% after the intervention (p=0.00). The average scores obtained from self-evaluation and classroom monitoring were 34 points before the intervention and 38 points after the intervention (p=0.00). According to Robson's classification in the criteria of the number of cesarean section, the total number of births before the intervention was 42.37% and after the intervention was 37.17%, cesarean section in the current pregnancy, the number of cesarean sections for the first time and the number of cesarean sections before and after the intervention, statistically significant difference There was p<0.001).
