Species suchas Bemisia tabaci (Gennadius) and Trialeurodesvaporariorum (Westwood) have been notorious pestsof crops in glasshouses and shade houses and aresubsequently the most commonly reported white-flies in Korea. Despite their importance, systematicstudies of this group have been sporadic, resultingin only seven species of whiteflies being document-ed in Korea. Therefore, a taxonomic survey wasinitiated to provide basic information on Koreanwhiteflies.In this paper, we add the following species toour knowledge of Korean whitefly fauna: Aleurolo-bus iteae Takahashi, Aleurolobus vitis Danzig, As-terobemisia takahashii Danzig, Bemisiella artemi-siae Danzig, and Massilieurodes euryae (Taka-hashi), and provide illustrations and informationon the distribution and hosts of each species. This species was also recordedon Eurya glaberrima (Theaceae) in Taiwan (Taka-hashi, 1940).DiscussionBefore the present study, only seven species ofAleyrodidae were reported as occurring in Korea; ofthese, Bemisia tabaci and Trialeurodes vaporari-orum, the most commonly reported species, are themost prolific and widely distributed pest whiteflies.In this paper the following five species are added tothe Korean whitefly fauna: Aleurolobus iteae Ta-kahashi, Aleurolobus vitis Danzig, Asterobemisiatakahashii Danzig, Bemisiella artemisiae Danzig,and Massilieurodes euryae (Takahashi).
