Abstract

Careful copy of Kitāb al-Mashāʻir, the work on ontology by Mullā Ṣadrā Shīrāzī (d.1641), renowned philosopher of the Ṣafavid period, followed by a brief treatise attributed to Naṣīr al-Dīn al-Ṭūṣī (d.1274), Risālah fī māhīyat al-ʻilm wa-al-ʻālim wa-al-maʻlūm (see pp.46-47).Shelfmark: Ann Arbor, University of Michigan, Special Collections Research Center, Isl. Ms. 936Origin: Lacks dated colophon ; likely copied in Egypt in the late 1930s and bound for James Heyworth-Dunne (d.1974).Former shelfmark: Mich. Isl.
