This text aims to highlight the absence of information about composers in the historiography of music, and to present an investigation carried out on unknown Brazilian women composers and their songs. In this study, we identified composers who have only one song listed in the Hermelindo Castelo Branco Collection - an important collection that brings together more than six thousand scores of Brazilian concert songs. Technical information about all these composers and songs was gathered and, afterwards, some of them were the object of more in-depth analysis. The research also involved the survey of biographical data of the composers and the production of analytical-interpretative comments about the songs, contributing to interpretations based on analyzes that consider the text-music relations in the works.O presente artigo busca evidenciar a ausência de informações sobre compositoras na historiografia da música, além de apresentar uma investigação realizada sobre compositoras brasileiras pouco conhecidas e suas obras. Nesse estudo, identificamos as compositoras que possuem apenas uma obra listada no Acervo de Partituras Hermelindo Castelo Branco – importante coleção que reúne mais de seis mil partituras de canções de concerto brasileiras. Foram reunidas informações técnicas sobre todas essas compositoras e obras e, em seguida, algumas delas foram objeto de análises mais aprofundadas. A pesquisa envolveu, ainda, o levantamento de dados biográficos das compositoras e a produção de comentários analítico-interpretativos das canções, contribuindo com interpretações fundamentadas em análises que consideram a relação texto-música nas obras
