The relation between drama and stage speech in modern Slovene dramatics from language consultant\u27s the point of view: review of selected dramas

Abstract

Magistrsko delo predstavlja jezikovne značilnosti šestih izbranih sodobnih dramskih besedil in njihovih uprizoritev: Evropa (2014) Vinka Möderndorferja, Ljudski demokratični cirkus Sakešvili (2014) Roka Vilčnika, sedem kuharic, štirje soldati in tri sofije (2015) Simone Semenič, Realisti (2018) Jureta Karasa, avtorski projekt 6 Slovenskega mladinskega gledališča (2018) ter Tih vdih (2018) Nejca Gazvode. V teoretičnem delu je predstavljen lektor (gledališki lektor) in njegova vloga v slovenskem gledališkem prostoru in oblikovanju odrskega govora skozi čas. Predstavljene so tudi razlike med dramskim in uprizoritvenim besedilom ter zvrstnost slovenskega jezika s poudarkom na tistih, ki se pojavljajo v izbranih dramskih besedilih. V praktičnem delu pa so tematsko-vsebinsko predstavljena izbrana dramska besedila, njihova jezikovna podoba ter jezikovne razlike med dramskim in uprizoritvenim besedilom. V zadnjem poglavju predstavljena vloga in delo lektorja z vidika slovenskih lektorjev in lektoric, ki so zaposleni ali honorarno sodelujejo s slovenskimi profesionalnimi gledališči.This Master’s Thesis presents the languages features of six modern dramatic texts and their role in the production: Vinko Möderndorfer\u27s Evropa (2014), Rok Vilčnik\u27s Ljudski demokratični cirkus Sakešvili (2014), Simona Semenič\u27s sedem kuharic, štirje soldati in tri sofije (2015), Jure Karas\u27s Realisti (2018), author’s theatre 6 from Slovensko mladinsko gledališče (2018) and Nejc Gazvoda\u27s Tih Vdih (2018). The theoretical section of the thesis describes the role of Theatre Language Consultants in the creation of stage speech through time, as well as their space within the Slovene Theatre Industry. Additionally, the theoretical section presents the differences between dramatic texts and production playscript and the language varieties used in them. A special emphasis is put on the types of Slovene language appearing in the six selected dramatic texts. The practical part of the thesis describes the theme and content of the selected drama scripts, their linguistic image and language differences between dramatic texts and production playscript. The last section of the thesis presents the role and responsibilities of Slovene Language Consultants that are employed by or freelance with professional Slovene theatres
