Abstract

Weight loss, physiological disorders, and postharvest diseases are the main causes of economic losses of fresh fruits and vegetables after harvest. Synthetic waxes, commonly amended with chemical fungicides, are currently often applied before cold storage or commercialization to reduce these losses.
