EFEKTIVITAS PROSES PEMBELAJARAN ONLINE MATA KULIAH BIOLOGI UMUM MAHASISWA PROGRAM STUDI TADRIS BIOLOGI UIN STS JAMBI

Abstract

Online learning is carried out to anticipate if educators cannot meet face-to-face with students and to face obstacles such as the COVID-19 pandemic. Various efforts to break the chain of transmission of COVID-19 have been carried out in the educational environment. One of them is by changing learning methods that allow interaction between lecturers and students to be done virtually or online. Lecturers make teaching materials or materials to be accessed independently by students anywhere and anytime. So that physical contact or crowds can be minimized and social distancing can be implemented properly. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the online learning process for general biology courses for students of the biology tadris study program at UIN STS Jambi by involving the generation who have just finished taking the course. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The population in this study were all students of the Biology Study Program, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training at UIN STS Jambi batch 2021. The results of this study show how effective online learning activities are. With the ability and different backgrounds of students in order to know the level of effectiveness of the online learning process, a questionnaire was distributed with calculations using a Likert scale. So it can be concluded that the level of effectiveness in the online learning process for general biology courses. From this research, it can be concluded that there are differences in understanding and background in the online learning process by students which shows the level of effectiveness of the online learning process
