SUBMISSIONS AND COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE WORK OF SOCIAL WORKERS IN SOCIAL SERVICES INSTITUTIONS

Abstract

U radu se piše o institutima predstavke i pritužbe te se prikazuje normativna osnova i praktična realizacija prava građana na podnošenje predstavke ili pritužbe na rad socijalnih radnika u sustavu socijalne skrbi. Autori zaključuju da se radi o korisnom institutu, no potrebno je preciznije propisati postupak provjere navoda iz predstavke ili pritužbe, kao i dosljedno sankcionirati one koji zloupotrebljavaju navedene institute na način da lažno optužuju socijalne radnike.This paper discusses the functions of submissions and complaints, and demonstrates the normative basis and practical use of citizens\u27 rights to file a submission or complaint about the work of social workers in the Social Services system. The authors conclude that these are useful options but they call for a more precise procedure for the verification of claims from the submission/complaint, as well as consistent sanctions for those who abuse them by falsely accusing social workers
