Vecuronium is widely used to provide skeletal muscle relaxation in mechanically ventilated Intensive Care Unit patients. The absence of significant cardiovascular side-effects is one of its stated advantages. There have been isolated reports of Brady-dysrhythmias including sinus arrest and atrioventricular block when vecuronium was administered with other agents especially opioids. We report a case of cardiac arrest following administration of vecuronium alone in a mechanically ventilated child in the Intensive Care Unit. Keywords: Vecuronium, Sinus arrest, Atrioventricular block
