ANALYSIS OF SOCIO ECONOMIC FACTORS THAT INFLUENCE COFFEE BUSINESS INCOME IN DONOWARIH VILLAGE, KARANGPLOSO DISTRICT, MALANG REGENCY

Abstract

ABSTRAKThis study aims (1) to determine the income and efficiency of coffee farming and (2) to determine the socio-economic factors that affect the income of coffee farming. This research was conducted in Donowarih Village, Karangploso District, Malang Regency and carried out in January - March 2021. The selection of research locations was carried out purposively. The sampling method was carried out using the Simple Random Sampling method with the Slovin formulation, so that 41 coffee farmers were taken as samples. The data analysis method used is efficiency analysis and Cobb Douglas profit function analysis with Unit Output Price (UOP) technique. Based on the results of research in Donowarih Village, Karangploso District, Malang Regency, it shows that the average coffee farming income per hectare is Rp. 9,901,960 while the value of the R/C ratio is 3,30, which means that coffee farming is efficient and profitable.
