Topological Vulnerability of Evolving Networks

Abstract

Evolving complex network as a model of a real system was analyzed. Contrary to a traditional approach for exploration of network evolution it was proposed to study its structural vulnerability during two network phases — formation and decline ones. Calculations have shown such a network after being at­tacked sometimes demonstrated a behavior in contrast to intuitive ideas. The results might be used for construction of sustainable information infrastructure
