Abstract

Abstract The paper briefly describes the importance of the word's frequency lists used in school textbooks on the regulation of vocabulary. In addition its frequent use in various fields of knowledge is indicated. According with the classical definition of the Royal Spanish Language Academy, our aim is show the 2,000 mostly used words found in the official texts of basic education in Mexico are presented
