The current situation on the reinsurance market

Abstract

katedra: KPO; rozsah: 76 s., 3 s. přílohThe aim of my diploma thesis is the evaluation of actual situation of the reinsurance market. The reinsurance market very strongly affects the insurance market, which is displayed in various preventive activities of insurance companies but also in the price of insurance. Today, the insurance industry is affected by catastrophes, which are cause by climatic effects or people. The first part of my thesis describes the risks, which exist in insurance business and the possibilities of insurance companies to minimize these risks. Next I deal with particular forms and types of reinsurance. I characterize facultative and obligatory reinsurance and I describe the traditional and alternative possibilities of the risk transmission. The second part explains legal regulations of the reinsurace in the Czech Republic. I describe the situation on the insurance and reinsurance market and I try to analyse the possibilities of its development. Next I focuse on reinsurace in the world after the devastating hurricanes in 2005. I would like to show the way the catastrophic incidents affect the insurance and reinsurance markets.Cílem mé diplomové práce je zhodnocení současné situace na zajistném trhu. Zajistný trh velmi silně působí na pojistný trh, to se projevuje v různé zábranné činnosti pojišťoven, ale také v ceně pojištění. Dnes je pojišťovnictví ovlivněno katastrofami, které jsou způsobeny klimatickými vlivy ale také lidmi. V první části práce popisuji rizika, která existují v pojišťovnictví, a možnosti pojišťoven tato rizika snižovat. Dále se zabývám konkrétními formami a typy zajištění. Charakterizuji fakultativní a obligatorní zajištění a popisuji tradiční i alternativní možnosti přenosu rizika. V druhé části se zabývám právní úpravou zajištění v České republice. Popisuji situaci na trhu se zajištěním a pokusím se odhalit možnosti jeho rozvoje. Dále jsem se zaměřila na zajištění ve světě po ničivých hurikánech v roce 2005. Chtěla bych ukázat, jak se katastrofické události promítají na pojistných a zajistných trzích
