AUTOEFICACIA: ACERCAMIENTOS Y DEFINICIONES -- SELF-EFFICACY: APPROACHES AND DEFINITIONS

Abstract

Lately, self-efficiency is one of the most studied concepts in social psychology that thereby seeks to explain certain believes, standards and patterns of human behavior from an affective, cognitive and behavioral analysis level. This article proposes a contemporary approach to the concept of self-efficiency, characterizing it, distinguishing it from other terms with similar meaning, and contrasting the different definitions it has been attributed with. It also enumerates its research and academic application fields to conclude with the assumption of a relation between self-efficiency and the postmodern term competences or more specifically management competences
