Implementing 5S methodology in manufacturing facility

Abstract

Diplomski rad se sastojao od implementacije 5S metodologije u proizvodnom pogonu. 5S metoda je jedan od alata Lean proizvodnje. Vitka proizvodnja teži ka smanjenu napora radnika, vremena, investicija, prostora. Cilj je smanjenje gubitaka, povećanje produktivnosti i efikasnosti proizvodnje uz maksimalnu iskoristivost resursa. U prvom dijelu rada definirana je Lean proizvodnja, njeni osnovni principi, povijest i razvoj, prednosti i rizici. Zatim slijedi opis kuće Lean proizvodnje koja se sastoji od glavnih alata za postizanje poboljšanja unutar poduzeća. U drugom dijelu rada nalazi se praktični dio koji je napravljen u poduzeću PK d.o.o. Prikazani su podaci prikupljeni u proizvodnom pogonu prije i nakon implementacije 5S metode te svaka faza 5S metode je objašnjena i prikazana slikovno. Provedbom navedene metode postiže se ušteda vremena od 43,56 minuta.Thesis consisted of the implementation of 5S methodology in manufacturing facility. The 5S method is one of the tools of Lean production. Lean production tends to reduce the effort of workers, time, investment and space. The goal is to reduce losses, increase productivity and efficiency while maximizing resource utilization. In the first part of paper Lean production is defined, as well as its basic principles, history and development, advantages and risks. This is followed by a description of the house of Lean manufacturing which consists of the mail tools for achieving improvement within the company. The second part of the paper consists of a practical part that was made in the company PK d.o.o. The data collected in the production plant before and after the implementation of the 5S method are presented. Each phase of the 5S method is explained and illustrated. The implementation of this method saves time for 43,56 minutes
