DENTAL PATIENTS ON ORAL ANTICOAGULANT THERAPY

Abstract

Oral anticoagulant therapy (OAT) has been used for more than half a century in themanagement and prevention of thromoembolic disorders. Due to somewhat awkwardphenomena accompanying anticoagulant therapy during dental-surgical interventions,dentists have to be well acquainted with the characteristics of the therapy and themeasures to be undertaken in the management of patients on OAT.
