The Histopathologic and Clinical Changes of the Oral Mucosa Occurred with the Bridge of the Pontic Prosthetesis

Abstract

In this study 34 dental bridges constructed for 30 individuals. The bridges removed at the department of Prosthetic Dentistry University of Dicle.The results revealed that the rate of bridges failure %100 . The major reasons for failure revealed by this study were periodontal disease and mucosal inflamations. The average life span for bridges was 4 years. All of the bridges used materials metal- acrylic and used pontic design was saddle
