Mitochondrial Diseases

Abstract

The oxidative phosphorilasyon (OXPHOS) diseases are heterogeneous group of diseases that are caused by mutations in mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) or nuclear DNA. These progressive diseases ,often present in early adult life, are characterised by multiorgan involvement and this condition can make diagnosis diffucult.
