En el presente trabajo se hace un estudio y propuesta de intervención para una tubería de plomo romana procedente del Museo Municipal de Requena, así como medidas de conservación preventiva para la preservación de la pieza.
A partir de la contextualización histórica de la pieza, se ha hecho un breve estudio de la ingeniería hidráulica romana, centrándose en el sistema de tuberías que distribuían y suministraban el agua a los distintos edificios. Estos entramados son una de las fuentes que más datos aporta sobre la estructura y el funcionamiento de las urbes romanas.
Para ello, se ha partido de la lectura de diversas fuentes bibliográficas al respecto, tanto primarias, como secundarias y terciarias.The writing here exposed develops a general study of a piece of a Roman lead pipe from the Requena Museum. On the one hand, technical issues related to the pipe have been analysed, in order to get a conservation report of the piece; and on the other hand, use that report to design and make a restoration and conservation plan.
To understand its context, on this work a study of the Roman hydraulic engineering system is made, focusing on the pipes and plumbing system that distributes and supplies water to different buildings. This system is one of the main sources of information about the structure and development of Roman cities.
