Abstract

Jie Gao is a doctoral student of Recreation, Park and Tourism Management at Penn State. Her primary research interests focus on the well-being outcomes of pleasure travel, and the role of emotions in the travel experience. She is also interested in agritourism and sustainable development. Dr. Deborah Kerstetter is Professor of Recreation, Park and Tourism Management in the College of Health and Human Development, Penn State. Dr. Kerstetter conducts research related to the underlying factors affecting individuals’ travel decisions.
