Séminaire annuel 2018 du Labex DRIIHM Session des postersRésumé L’environnement intérieur est une source importante d’exposition aux communautés microbiennes qui peut avoir un effet néfaste sur la santé respiratoire humaine. Des études récentes ont démontré que la structure de la communauté microbienne peut être modifiée par l’utilisation de produits ménagers tels que des agents antimicrobiens. Ainsi, afin de comprendre la modulation du microbiome intérieur par les produits ménagers et leur effet conjoint sur l’état respiratoire des patients atteints de BPCO, nous avons évalué les niveaux d’agents antimicrobiens dans les échantillons de poussière et les échantillons d’urine correspondants à des patients atteints de BPCO. Dans l’ensemble, les concentrations dans les échantillons de poussière sont d’un ou deux ordres de grandeur plus élevées que les concentrations dans l’urine humaine. Le triclosan a été détecté dans tous les échantillons de poussière, le triclocarban a été détecté dans 82 % des échantillons de poussière et les parabènes dans 90 % à 100 % des échantillons. Dans les échantillons d’urine, le triclosan a été détecté dans 56 % des échantillons, le triclocarban était toujours inférieur à la limite de détection (0,25 ng/ml) et la fréquence de détection des parabènes variait largement (23-84 %). Fait intéressant, le niveau le plus élevé de poussière de triclosan (1200 ng/g) correspondait à la maison d’un patient ayant la plus forte concentration de triclosan dans l’urine (140 ng/ml) et à ce niveau, des bactéries résistantes aux antibiotiques étaient présentes. Ces résultats suggèrent que l’utilisation d’antimicrobiens pourrait être associée à la présence de bactéries résistantes et mériterait donc d’être étudiée plus avant.AbstractThe indoor environment is an important source of exposure to microbial communities that may dele-teriously affect human respiratory health. Recent studies demonstrated that the microbial community structure can be altered by the use of household products such as antimicrobial agents. Hence, in order to understand the modulation of the indoor microbiome by household products and their joint effect in the respiratory status of COPD patients we evaluated the levels of antimicrobials agents in dust samples and matched urine samples from patients with COPD. Overall, the concentrations in dust samples are one to two orders of magnitude higher that the concentrations in human urine. Triclosan was detected in all the dust samples, triclocarban was detected in 82% of the dust samples and parabens in 90% to 100% of the samples. In urine samples, triclosan was detected in 56% of the samples, triclocarban was always bellow detection limit (0.25 ng/mL) and parabens detection frequency varied widely (23-84%). Interestingly, the highest level reported in dust for triclosan (1200 ng/g) corresponded to the house of the patient with the highest triclosan concentration in urine (140 ng/mL) and at that house high levels of antibiotic resistant bacteria were found.
