Abstract
Este texto faz uma abordagem ao tratado De gloria do humanista português D. Jerónimo Osório, referindo, também, alguns aspetos da vida do autor. No que se refere ao texto, aborda-se a questão das suas edições, a opção pelo diálogo, a escolha do local e data e, ao nível estilístico, apresenta-se uma amostragem da utilização das cláusulas
métricas.This paper presents an approach to the treatise De gloria by the Portuguese humanist D. Jerónimo Osório; some
aspects of the author’s life are also raised. With regard to the text, the matter of its editions is addressed as well as
the option for dialogue and the choice of place and date. With regard to the stylistic level, a sample of the use of
metric clauses is presented
