Treatment of economic content in the training of medical students

Abstract

Background: the training of the medical students to perform the administrative duties entails a coordinated work among the professors of the disciplines and subjects.Objective: to describe the procedures and actions of a methodology to treat the economic content in the training of the students majoring in medicine.Methods: a historical study was carried out on the topic with a review of the normative documents of the specialty and the criteria of experienced specialists. The methodology was devised, based on the procedures subjected to assessment in the workshops on public opinion and collective construction, carried out with a selection of professors of the specialty during the academic year 2017-2018.Results: a methodology was devised for the treatment of the economic content in the training of the students majoring in medicine, itemized in the following procedures: training of professors and students, planning and designing of the integrated tasks that relate the content to the biomedical disciplines, exchange between health professionals and students, appropriation of the economic content by the students. The actions for each procedure were described.Conclusions: a methodology with procedures and actions for the treatment of the economic content was devised
