This article seeks to reflect on how music can be an instrument to aid the learning of basic mathematical notions both in early childhood education and in the early years of elementary school. Throughout the text, we present two original songs used in our classrooms and point out other suggestive songs that can be used by teachers in this discipline as a pedagogical support for a playful teaching. We look for our theoretical foundation in the studies of Smole (2003), Lorenzi (2009), Kishimoto (2002), among others who talk about teaching Mathematics in the context of playfulness. We emphasize that although initially some songs presented do not have an educational proposal in themselves, it is up to the teacher to have this attentive look in analyzing the lyrics and adapting them to the universe of Education.Este artigo busca refletir sobre como a música pode ser um instrumento para o auxílio a aprendizagem de noções matemáticas básicas tanto na educação infantil quanto nos anos iniciais do ensino fundamental. Ao longo do texto, apresentamos duas músicas autorais utilizadas em nossas salas de aula e apontamos outras músicas sugestivas que podem ser utilizadas pelos professores desta disciplina como apoio pedagógico para um ensino lúdico. Buscamos nossa fundamentação teórica nos estudos de Smole (2003), Lorenzi (2009), Kishimoto (2002), entre outros que dialogam sobre ensino de Matemática no contexto da ludicidade. Destacamos que embora inicialmente algumas músicas apresentadas não tenham em si uma proposta educacional, cabe ao professor ter esse olhar atento em analisar a letra e adaptá-la para o universo da Educação
