Abstract
Este artículo se propone restituir la figura de Sócrates a su real contexto educativo, según nos presenta Platón. La idea central es que el maestro es mediador axiológico en el proceso de enseñanza. El autor desarrolla esta idea en tres partes: 1) la identidad de Sócrates; 2) proceso de enseñanza y "relación" con el maestro; y 3) el problema del modelo de hombre a imitar. En definitiva, se muestra que para Platón la forma existencial del maestro es la realidad clave en el proceso de enseñanza y plantea que la condición primera de la verdadera enseñanza empieza en la persona del maestro. AbstractThis paper seeks to restore Socrates to the true educational context in which Plato presents him. The core idea is the teacher as axiological mediator in the educational process. The author develops the idea along these three lines: 1) the identity of Socrates; 2) the teaching process and the "relationship" with the teacher; 3) the problem of the model of man to imitate. In short, it is shown that for Plato, the existential form of the teacher is the key of the teaching process, and the paper sets out that the first condition for true teaching begins with the figure of the teacher.
