Utilisation possibilities, problems of use; and new approaches of mobile wearable information and communication technologies

Abstract

In the development of mobile information and communication technological solutions (in short: mobile solutions) for use in professional business segments, impressive progress has been made in the past few years. Nevertheless, until now the market share of these new technologies has clearly fallen short of the expected possibilities. The study at hand therefore attempts to systematically research the innovation barriers and problems of acceptance of mobile solutions in a broad scale technology analysis and technology assessment study, in order to thereby trace the technical shortcomings of the components available up to now as well as the system deficits of realised application concepts. The emphasis thereby lies on the utilisation in the working world beyond the office desk.A stock-taking of technical components and realised systems was carried out, which was checked against the requirements of the potential application areas. From this the problem structure of mobile solutions was deduced. On this basis further configuration recommendations and methodical deductions are offered
