As Kathmandu city is the capital of Nepal which influence most of the big business offices, hospital and education institution to operate in Kathmandu result of which is increasing the number of vehicles facing an environmental problem. Dependency on fossil fuel vehicles has increased the cost of leaving in a developing country like Nepal due subsequently a rise in the price of petrol, diesel. Seeing this Nepalese government is producing positive policies to increase the sale of electric cars. Nepal is a country with good quality of water resources in the world which can be used to produce sustainable electric energy that helps in the E.V market that has promising development potential. Considering this, this research aims to explore “What are the different factors affecting the consumer decision-making behavior of E.V in Kathmandu Valley”? A survey in Kathmandu city carried out by an abductive approach. The pragmatism paradigm is used as a philosophy of science in the understanding of the data. We have done a survey and open-ended interview to collect the primary data and the EV website and other sources are used as a secondary data source. In understanding the problem area, we used a background study of fuel consumption in Nepal, environmental problem, production of sustainable energy, and research paper related to the survey. Besides, we use theory related to Consumer Behavior, Consumer buying behavior, and the EKB model under the Consumer decision-making process as a base for responding to the survey question. In the discussion and conclusion section after discussing the analysis output of the survey, we found that despite various factor affecting the buying process government factor and financial factor has positive effect whereas social factor provide supports in case of electric car and charging infrastructure has negative impact affecting the consumer decision-making behavior of E.V in Kathmandu. In addition, the study also found out that consumer affecting factors can be categories under five steps of the EKB model
