This paper seeks to explore how to create a concept for music venues, based on the relation between artist, audience and venue. In doing so it seeks to design a holistic audience experience. The venue, VEGA, in Copenhagen, is used to exemplify the analysis using the following methodological approaches; Participant observation and auto ethnographic. Together with the methodological approach, the theory of Experience Design is used in the development of the concept, where authenticity and atmosphere have been essential to determine how to strengthen the relation between the artist, the audience and the venue.The concept is based on fieldwork and the theories of authenticity and atmosphere. These have been developed to provide the audience with an ‘extra’ experience. In order to create an authentic experience, focus has been on giving the audience a truthful 'behind the scene' experience in the artist's stories and VEGA's atmosphere.Therefore, this concept is adapted to VEGA's existing atmosphere, to give the audience another way to experience the venue. Thus, the theories of authenticity and atmosphere have been essential, in the attempt to strengthen the relationship between the artist, audience and the venue. Hence, the concept must affect the audience and provide them with a relevant and exciting value in the experience of a VEGA concert. Furthermore, if the venues focus more on creating a sense of intimacy, they will be able to distinguish themselves from other offers, in terms of other music events such as pop-up concerts, free concerts and festivals. In order to implement the concept at other venues, the paper argues that venues must focus on their individual identity and history, so their distinctive character is clear throughout the concept
