Dette projekt tager udgangspunkt i et singlecase studie af Albertslund Kommunes netværksstyring, og hvordan denne giver forskellige udfordringer og muligheder for kommunens legitimitet. Med et fundament i dokumenter og empiri indsamlet via interview analyserer projektet, hvilken form for netværksstyring der finder sted, og hvordan denne netværksstyring spinder tråde til både Old Public Administration, New Public Management og New Public Gorvernance, samt hvordan disse er tæt vævet sammen. Denne analyse bliver udført med et teoretisk grundlag i styringsparadigmer, netværksstyringsteori og suppleret med sekundær empiri fra Kommuners Landsforening. Analysen føres videre i en diskussion om den kompleksitet, der opstår ved at blande disse styringsparadigmer set i forhold til legitimitet. Projektet konkluderer, at styringsparadigmerne blandes i Netværksstrukturen i Albertslund Kommune, således at disse komplementerer hinandens legitimitetsudfordringer, men på samme side skaber nye kompleksiteter.This project is a single case study of the Municipality of Albertslund’s network governance, and how this structure provides different challenges and opportunities for the legitimacy of the Municipality. With a foundation based on documents and empirics gathered through interviews, this project analyses which kind of network governance there is at play, and how this draws lines to both Old Public Administration, New Public Management and New Public Governance. The analysis is conducted with a theoretic ground in the three different public management approaches, network governance theory and secondary empirics from The National Association of Local Authorities in Denmark. This leads to a discussion of the complexity of the mixture of the different public management methods, and furthermore what this does to the legitimacy of the Municipality of Albertslund. This project concludes that the different public management approaches are combined within the network governance of the Municipality of Albertslund, which complements the different legitimacy challenges but also creates an entirely new set of complexity
