Urbane festivaler verden over vokser i popularitet. Udover de økonomiske og brandingmæssige fordele, så er har det også fordele for byen og de mennesker som bor i den. Denne praktikrapport anvender virksomheden Our Copenhagen som case, til at få en kulturel aktørs indsigt i den proces, som ligger bag at skabe et kulturelt event i København. Our Copenhagen er en lille aktør og finder den administrative process ret tung, det kan derfor være nødvendigt at Københavns Kommune giver de små aktører en ekstra hånd, da de bidrager til diversitet og personlighed. Rapporten karakteriserer en festivals betydning for byen, med et undersøgelse af Our Copenhagens event “Sommer på Boulevarden”. Gennem Franck, Stevens samt Fabians forståelse af løse steder, viser det sig at festivaler har potentiale til at gøre byrum midlertidigt løse. Det kan inspirere mennesker til at anvende byen mere kreativt; som i sidste ende bidrager med liv og vitalitet til byen. Det suppleres med Bergs teoretiske forståelse af de fem brugsformer, som bygger på forskellige måder mennesker bruger byen på under afvikling af en festival. Urbane festivaler er midlertidige byplanmæssige eksperimenter, som har meget potentiale for byen - hvilket kræver en systematisk vidensdeling mellem aktør, kommune og byplanlægger. Around the world urban festivals are growing in popularity, and besides benefiting the economical and branding related aspects, the city and the people who live there can also benefit from this. This internship project uses the company Our Copenhagen as a case to get an insight to a cultural actors process of creating an urban event. Our Copenhagen is a small actor and experiences the administrative process as pretty heavy, a solution for that could be that Copenhagen municipality gives an extra hand to the small cultural actors, because they contribute with diversity and personality. This project aims to characterize a festival's meaning to a city with a research of Our Copenhagen's event “Sommer på Boulevarden”. Through Frack, Stevens and Fabians understanding of loose spaces it shows that festivals make urban spaces temporarily loose. This can inspire people to use the city in an alternative way, which in the end contributes with life and vitality to the city. This will be supplied by Berg's understanding of the five user forms, which is based on the different ways people use the city during a festival. Urban festivals are urban temporary experiments and have a lot of potential for the city - this requires a systematic knowledge sharing between cultural actors, municipality and the urban planners. <br/
