Formålet med dette projekt er at sammenligne Københavns- og Roskilde Universitet som værende organisationer og undersøge om disse har en indflydelse på uddannelseskvaliteten på de to universiteter. Gennem vores projekt benytter vi den videnskabsteoretiske tilgang, socialkonstruktivisme. Vi tager udgangspunkt i disse to universiteter, da de repræsenterer to forskellige typer af universiteter, et traditionelt og et alternativt universitet. Vores motivation er, at vi ser ændringer på vores universitet og derfor finder det interessant at undersøge om det samme er tilfældet på andre typer af universiteter. Projektet tager udgangspunkt i tre teoretiske tilgange. Den første teoretiske tilgang er organisationsteori af Richard W. Scotts og Harold Leavitt. Disse teorier er med til at belyse de forskelle der ligger i universiteternes grundlæggende strukturer og kulturer. Yderligere gør vi brug af Knud Illeris teori om uddannelse og læring, samt en rapport fra Environmental, Social and Governance omhandlende hvad en videregående uddannelse bør sikre sig for at have en god uddannelseskvalitet. Disse teorier belyser god uddannelseskvalitet fra to forskellige vinkler og er med til at belyse, hvordan god uddannelseskvalitet er inkorporeret i universiteterne. Undersøgelsen tager udgangspunkt i teorien, hvor vi gennem en dokumentanalyse af årsrapportene 2016 fra hhv. Københavns- og Roskilde universitet, undersøger hvordan organisationen fremstår, samt hvordan uddannelseskvaliteten komme til udtryk i årsrapporten. Endvidere har vi gennem et udarbejdet survey undersøgt uddannelseskvaliteten på de to universiteter, ud fra de studerendes perspektiv. Resultatet af undersøgelsen viser at måden hvorpå universiteterne er opbygget, har en indflydelse på uddannelseskvaliteten. Københavns Universitet gør mere brug af traditionelle arbejdsformer, som selvstudie, og resultatet af surveyet viser en generelt større tilfredshed på de strukturelle punkter, end studerende på Roskilde Universitet. Roskilde Universitet viser derimod at de gør stor brug af projektarbejde og flere svarer at de tilegner sig kompetencer som kreativitet i højere grad end de studerende på Københavns Universitet. Yderligere er et gennemgående tema fra de studerende på begge universiteter at de ønsker en bedre administration og mere fysisk plads.The purpose of this project is to compare the University of Copenhagen and Roskilde seen as organizations and to examine whether the universities have an influence on the quality of the education regarding the two universities. Through our project, we use the scientific theory approach, social constructivism. We have chosen the universities as they represent two different types of universities, a traditional and an alternative university. Our motivation is that we have seen changes regarding our university and therefore we find it interesting to investigate if the changes also appear to other types of universities. The project is based on three theoretical approaches. One of the approaches is organization theory by Richard W. Scotts and Harold Leavitt. The task of organization theory is to help highlight the differences in the universities' basic structures and cultures. In addition, we use Knud Illeri's theory of education and learning, as well as a report from Environmental, Social and Governance on what a higher education should ensure to have a good education quality. These theories highlight good education quality from two different point of views and help to illustrate how good education quality is incorporated in the universities. The study’s chosen method, to answer our overall question, for the analysis is a document analysis of the annual reports 2016 formed by the University of Copenhagen and Roskilde and a survey. We use a document analysis to examine how the organization appears and how the quality of education is expressed in the annual report. Furthermore, through a detailed survey, we study the quality of education at the two universities, based on the student’s perspective. The result of the study shows that the way in which the universities are structured have an influence on the quality of education. The University of Copenhagen makes more use of traditional forms of self-study, and the survey results show a generally greater satisfaction with the structural issues than students at Roskilde University. Roskilde University on the other hand, shows that they make great use of project work and several students respond to acquiring skills such as creativity to a bigger extent than the students at the University of Copenhagen. Furthermore, an ongoing theme from students at both universities is that they wish for a better administration
