Unique case study of Rwanda discusses the assessment of the implications of the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda and Gacaca courts and how these implications influenced the process of transformation to contemporary national justice system in Rwanda. Research applies the method of Process Tracing to investigate underlying causal inferences between the causes and outcomes as empirically discussing the connection of the ICTR and Gacaca Courts with observable manifestations of courts´ implications being shown in contemporary Rwandan judicial system. Results of this research demonstrate the causal linkage through systematic analysis of major sequences as to determine empirically, how this has been brought to the realities from what can be observed in present. Identification of broader themes of capacity-building, new legal framework and societal reconstruction have been detected to reflect the courts´ implications in realities
