ORTAÖĞRETİM KURUMLARINDA ÖĞRETMENLERİN SÖZEL- BEDENSEL DAVRANIŞLARININ ÖĞRENCİ BAŞARISI ÜZERİNE ETKİSİNE İLİŞKİN ÖĞRENCİ GÖRÜŞLERİNİN İNCELENMESİ
Bu araştırmanın amacı, İstanbul İli Anadolu Yakasında yer alan özel ve devlet liselerinde öğrenim gören öğrencilerin, öğretmenlerinin sözel, bedensel davranışlarının öz başarılarına etkisinin cinsiyet, sınıf, okul türü, anne, baba eğitim düzeyi, anne, baba meslek durumu vb. özelliklere göre farklılık gösterip göstermediğine dair elde edilen veriler incelenip yorumlanmıştır.
Araştırmanın evrenini, İstanbul İlinde, ortaöğretim kurumlarında öğrenim gören öğrenciler oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu ise İstanbul İli Anadolu Yakasında bulunan çeşitli ilçelerde İlçe Milli Eğitim Müdürlüklerine bağlı ortaöğretim okullarında öğrenim görmekte olan ve araştırmaya tesadüfi olarak katılan öğrenciler oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada anketi geçerli sayılan 342 ortaöğretim öğrencisi verileri değerlendirilerek incelenmiştir. Uygulamada araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan ve uzman görüşü dikkate alınarak son şekli verilen ve 3 bölümden oluşan anket kullanılmıştır.
Elde edilen veriler, SPSS Windows-18 istatistik programında amaçlara uygun istatistiki teknikler kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Verilerin çözümlenmesinde; öncelikle tüm bağımsız değişkenler için, tanımlayıcı istatistikler olan frekans (N), yüzde (%), ortalama (X), standart sapma (SS) değerleri ortaya konmuştur. Daha sonra ikili değişkenler arasındaki farklılığı test etmek amacıyla “ilişkisiz Grup t Testi”, ikiden fazla kategorisi bulunan değişkenler arasındaki farklılığı test etmek için ise “Tek Yönlü Varyans Analizi” (ANOVA) kullanılmıştır. “Tek Yönlü Varyans Analizi” (ANOVA) sonrasında, elde edilen farklılığın kaynağını belirlemek amacıyla ise, tamamlayıcı analizlerden biri olan “Scheffe Testi” kullanılmıştır.
Yapılan Analizler Sonucunda; 1.Öğrencilerin; cinsiyet, sınıf, okul türü, anne ve baba eğitim düzeyi, anne ve baba meslek durumu değişkenlerine göre ankette yer alan ifadelere verdikleri cevaplarda anlamlı düzeyde farklılık olduğu ortaya çıkmıştır.
2.Araştırma kapsamındaki öğrencilerin, “Öğretmenlerin Sergilediği Bedensel Davranışların Öğrenci Başarısı Üzerine Etkisi”ne yönelik ifadelere verdikleri cevapların toplam aritmetik ortalamasının ise X=2,90 “Katılıyorum”, “Öğretmenlerin Sergilediği Sözel Davranışların Öğrenci Başarısı Üzerine Etkisi”ne yönelik ifadelere verdikleri cevapların toplam aritmetik ortalamasının ise X=2,87 “Katılıyorum” düzeyinde olduğu görülmüştür.

ABSTRACT
AN INVESTIGATION OF STUDENT OPINIONS CONCERNING THE EFFECT OF TEACHERS' VERBAL-SOMATIC BEHAVIORS ON STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT
The aim of this research is to examine and interpret the data obtained concerning whether the effect of teachers' verbal-somatic behaviors on the self-achievements of students who study at private and state high schools in the Anatolian side of İstanbul province according to the attributes such as gender, grade, type of school, parents' educational background, parents' occupational status, etc.
The population of the research is composed of the students who study at the secondary education institutions in İstanbul province. The study group of the research comprises of the students who study at the secondary education schools affiliated with District National Education Directorates in the various districts in the Anatolian side of Istanbul province and participated in the research randomly. Data of 342 students whose questionnaires were accepted to be valid were evaluated and examined in the research. A questionnaire composed of 3 parts which was prepared by the researcher and finalized based on the expert opinion was applied in the research.
The obtained data has been analyzed with using the techniques which is appropriate for the purposes of statistical program SPSS Windows-18. Analyzing the data; first of all, to all the arguments, the descriptive statistics of the frequency (N), percent (%), average (X), standard deviation (SS) values have been stated.Then it is used "Unrelated Group t-test" to test the difference between the binary variables and ‟One-way analysis of variance (ANOVA)’’is used to test the difference between variables which have more than two categories. After "The one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), in order to determine the source of obtained difference ‟The Scheffe Test’’ which is one of the complementary analysis has been used.
As a result of the analyses performed:
1. It was revealed that the answers given by students to the statements in the questionnaire differed significantly according to the variables of students' gender, grade, type of school, parents' educational background, parents' occupational status.
2. It was seen within the scope of the research that total arithmetic averages of the answers given by students to the statements concerning the "Effect of Teachers' Somatic Behaviors on Student Achievement" were X=2.90 (Agree), and total arithmetic averages of the answers given by students to the statements concerning the "Effect of Teachers' Verbal Behaviors on Student Achievement" were X=2.87 (Agree).
