This research study will benefit the general public, but specifically, those who are associated with religious faith and those who are in search of the best way to parent their children with a religious upbringing. This research could also benefit those who are interested in this topic. • Authoritative parenting presents reasonable rules and regulations.• Authoritarian parenting styles focuses on high child expectations along with numerous sets of rules and directions.• Religiosity can pull an individual on either side of the spectrum. • A child will reflect positive behavior when they are taught religion in a judgment-free manner.• There should always be a perfect blend between religiosity and parenting.IntroductionH1: Emerging adults with authoritative parents will show lower levels of religiosity than those who have authoritarian parents.H2: There will be no significant difference between parenting styles and religiosity.Hypothesis• Participants were gathered on the campus of Southern Adventist University and online solicitation.• Participants were given a link to takea survey questionnaire where they spent less than 15 minutes completing the survey. • Participants responded to questionaries consisting of 3 sections:1. Demographic Scale2. Parenting Style Scale3. Centrality of Religiosity Scale• Those who participated in the study, were entered in a draw to win a Chick-fil-a gift card. Methodology• Total of 45 participants were recruited.• 10 males • 35 females • There was not a statistically significant relationship between parenting styles and religiosity.• H1: Emerging adults with authoritative parents will show lower levels of religiosity than those who have authoritarian parents.
