O artigo tem o propósito de analisar o Curso de Especialização em Didática da Matemática Moderna na Escola Primária, ofertado entre 1966 e 1972, no Instituto de Educação General Flores da Cunha, em Porto Alegre. Trata-se de um curso destinado a professores que atuavam no ensino primário, pré-primário e na disciplina de Didática da Matemática, que tinha por objetivo a atualização em matemática e suas abordagens no processo de ensino e aprendizagem. No diálogo com os documentos do acervo do Laboratório de Matemática da instituição e entrevistas com participantes do curso, percebemos que esse curso contribuiu significativamente para a divulgação da Matemática Moderna no Rio Grande do Sul.The article aims to analyze the Specialization Course in Modern Mathematics Didactics in Primary School, offered between 1966 and 1972, at the Institute of Education General Flores da Cunha, in Porto Alegre.
