STUDY OF IMPLEMENTATION OF A TEACHER TRAINING METHODOLOGY: THE TUTORIAL PROGRAM IN MANAUS
Abstract: It presents results of a study of the implementation of a continuing teacher training program, developed in the municipal education network of Manaus, especially those referring to the role that educational tutors took in the accompaniment of teachers in probationary stage. To understand how these professionals exercised their duties, observations were made of their work routine and interviews with them, tutored teachers and school managers. The program has sought to apply the methodology established by the program, with local adaptations already foreseen by the idealizers of this methodology. The analyzes showed that there was extent technology transfer from the executing agency to the network and that tutors are generally well received by schools.

Methodology of in-service training.Apresenta resultados de estudo da implementação de programa de formação continuada de professores, implantada na rede municipal de educação de Manaus, que se baseia na atuação de tutores educacionais junto a professores em estágio probatório. Para compreender como os tutores exerciam suas atribuições, foram realizadas observações de sua rotina de trabalho, entrevistas com esses profissionais, além de professores tutorados e gestores escolares. O programa tem buscado aplicar uma concepção de formação em serviço e uma metodologia previamente estabelecidas, mas que prevê e comporta adaptações próprias da localidade. As análises evidenciam que houve transferência de tecnologia da agência executora para a rede de ensino e que os tutores, em geral, são bem recebidos pelas escolas.
