Covariant tensor formalism for partial wave analyses of Οˆβ†’Ξ”Ξ”Λ‰\psi \rightarrow\Delta\bar{\Delta}

Abstract

The covariant tensor formulae for partial wave analysis of Οˆβ†’Ξ”Ξ”Λ‰\psi \rightarrow\Delta\bar{\Delta}, Ξ”β†’pπ±\Delta \to p \pi^\pm, Ξ”Λ‰β†’pΛ‰Ο€βˆ“\bar{\Delta} \to \bar{p} \pi^\mp are derived, as well as the formulae for the decay sequence of Οˆβ†’Nβˆ—pΛ‰\psi \rightarrow N^* \bar{p}, Nβˆ—β†’Ξ”Ο€βˆ“N^* \to \Delta \pi^\mp, Ξ”β†’pπ±\Delta \to p \pi^\pm . These formulae are practical for the experiments measuring ψ\psi decaying into ppΛ‰Ο€+Ο€βˆ’p \bar{p} \pi^+ \pi^- final states, such as BESIII with its recently collected huge J/ψJ/\psi and ψ(2S)\psi(2S) data samples.Comment: 10 page
