The educational evaluation process aims at checking the achievement of learning goals. It is a continuous process, begins from the beginning of the academic year to the end and it focuses on the all aspects of learner's personaliy. This study aimed at recognizing one of the contemporary trends in educational evaluation which is portfolio. It answered many questions related to porfolio such as: definition of portfolio, goals, types, contents, its instruments, steps of constructing it, positives, negatives, problem of using portfolio, and the possibility of applying it on palestinain schools.حقائب العمل مدخل من مداخل التقويم المعاصر
