В статье раскрываются причины переселения ногайцев Ставропольской и Таврической губерний в 50-60-х гг. XIX в. в пределы Османской империи. Отмечается, что ногайское мухаджирство не связано с событиями Кавказской войны. Оно было обусловлено социально-экономическими изменениями в ногайском обществе, связанными с их инкорпорацией в состав Российской империи и геополитическим противостоянием России и Турции в регионе.The article describes the reasons for the relocation of the nogai population Stavropol’s and Taurian provinces in 50-60 years of XIX century in the Ottoman Empire. It is noted that nogai muhajirs is not associated with the events of the Caucasian war. It was due to socio-economic changes in the nogais society associated with their incorporation into the Russian Empire and geopolitical confrontation between Russia and Turkey in the region
