EditorialVolume 26 (1)The last nine months have been very interesting for the Trumpeter.  Our Poetry Editor of many years Tom Henighan announced his retirement and we had to scramble to find a new PE.  Nicola Vulpe took over from Tom last May.At that same time, John Ollerenshaw, our Managing Editor, announced that he was leaving the Trumpeter.  We found a new Managing Editor and a new Associate ME.  The new ME living in the Philippines, was caught up in three typhoons and then fought a series of illnesses.  He reluctantly resigned his post and we promoted the Associate Managing Editor (Aerin Caley) and doubled her remuneration.  (0$CDN x 2)The staff changes put us well behind in getting issues online.  The two Special issues about ecosophy in India were to be published in 2009.  One issue was online in 2009 the second had to wait until earlier this year.  Kudos go to the Managing Editor for a huge amount of work, in a short time period.The Indian issues are quite wonderful, with ecosophical views from different cultures.  I enjoyed every submission.Volume 26 is shaping up very well.  This issue (26(1)) is a general issue with continuing chapters of the Sun Dew Chronicles.  We also start a new series from Jorge Conesa-Sevilla.   Jorge is developing interviews with many of the old guard of the deep ecology movement to record their past and ongoing development of ecosophy, in their personal lives.  The first two installments are found within.  Volume 26(2) will be anecdotal stories about Arne Naess and Bill Devall as we remember those we lost in 2009.  There is time to submit material about Arne or Bill, if you wish to do so.Volume 26(3) will be a Special Issue devoted to ecosophical education.  I am delighted with the submissions that we have received.Future plans include Special Issues about ecosophy in China and an issue that will highlight conversations between Arne Naess and Gregory Bateson that never took place.
