Biblijski motivi i metodički pristup Marinkovićevu Kiklopu

Abstract

This study analyzes and interprets biblical intertext in the novel 'Kiklop' by Ranko Marinković, extracting individual biblical motifs and tales which mostly carry completely new meanings within the text, instead of traditional ones. A new contextual layer is added to these meanings in the novel. The role of the intertext is proven to be in the use of irony. Therefore, the tales about the characters in the Old Testament, i.e. Adam and Eve or Samson and Delilah, are just instruments for ironical perception of the many alduterate relations in the novel, and also the most frequent connection with the Bible. The study interprets correlation between certain characters from the novel and the ones from the Bible, and it is supported by examples and citations from the text. Also, the role of the women in the novel is interpreted, as well as the role of God in the life of Melkior Tresić. Since there is also plenty of biblical intertext in the drama 'Glorija', a play also written by Marinković, a short comparative analysis was conducted in the study. In the conclusion of the study, there is a possible methodical approach regarding educational questions, considering the thesis and conclusions which come as the result of the analysis of the biblical motifs and tales in the novel
