У статті розглянуто напрями визначення контексту підприємства для результативного впровадження системи екологічного управління, яка є необхідним інструментом забезпечення його матеріального і нематеріального активу. Під час введення на підприємствах м. Києва стандартів ДСТУ ISO 14001:2015, ДСТУ OHSAS 18001:2010 та ДСТУ ISO 9001:2015 спостерігається відсутність активності керівництва та працівників на всіх етапах розробки і впровадження систем управління для дотримання відповідності вимогам стандартів. Така тенденція більшою мірою стосується системи екологічного управління, тому потреби і очікування зводяться до впровадження її формального «паперового варіанту» вимог стандарту, що не дозволяє інтегрувати систему екологічного управління в бізнес-процеси підприємства. Тому необхідним і першочерговим завданням під час формування системи екологічного управління є визначення контексту підприємства для виявлення взаємодіючих і взаємозалежних підсистем.Abstract. The article coniders the directions establishing the enterprise context for the effective implementation of the environmental management system, which is a necessary tool for maintaining its tangible and intangible assets. During the introduction of the DSTU ISO 14001: 2015, DSTU OHSAS 18001: 2010 and DSTU ISO 9001: 2015 standards at the enterprises of Kyiv, there is a lack of activity among management and employees at all stages of development and implementation of management systems necessary for complying with the requirements of the standards. This tendency is more related to the environmental management system, thus, the needs and expectations are reduced to the introduction of its formal “paper version” of the standard requirements, which does not allow integrating the environmental management system into the business processes of the enterprise. Therefore, determining the enterprise context for identifying interacting and interdependent subsystem is a necessary and utmost task when designing an environmental management system. If one of the subsystems is left unattended or the interaction between the subsystems deteriorates, the enterprise exists within the environmentally passive development, observing only the requirements of the current legislation, receiving inputs from the external environment and creating a product or providing a particular service. Three subsystems of the enterprise are identified (“enterprise-internal environment”, “enterprise-external environment”, “enterprise-environment”); their elements, interaction and possibilities of identification for strengths and weaknesses are established. In order to maintain a balance between subsystems, a key role must belong to the overall management of the enterprise, and the environmental management system may become a part of it. Defining and analyzing the context will make it possible to present the enterprise as an open system built into the environment. Properly selected management approaches, analysis and continuous monitoring of subsystem status will ensure the viability of the enterprise and its transition to a new stage of development, which is to achieve environmental efficiency and effectiveness of the environmental management system
