This Project approaches the use of the intercomprehension as a possible tool for
communication in a migratory context, based on the observation and participation in
non-governmental agents’ activities in João Pessoa. In this way, we intend to
contextualize the Venezuelans immigrants’ experienced reality in the capital of
Paraiba, to understand in what ways interaction between the agents and Venezuelans
immigrants works, as well as the reception and integration activities, promoted by the
non-governmental institution Aldeias SOS Brasil. We pretend also to analyze the role
of the Foreign Languages Applied professional as a support in non-governmental
organizations. The qualitative investigative methodology used was the moderate
participant observation, applied in three official hosting actions, which use as
instruments, on daily occurring’s of the NGO, observation of the three interaction
situations, description of the experiences and informal interviews with the agents
involved in those activities. The partial results showed that, the
intercomprehension among with other linguistics instruments are applicable practices
to the migrants and refugees hosting actions, nonetheless through an objective
communication approach, which this paper has configured. As so, this research
presents itself relevant to everyone who deals directly or indirectly with interlinguistic
mediation in the migration context.Este projeto aborda o uso da intercompreensão como possível ferramenta de auxílio
comunicativo no contexto migratório, a partir da observação e participação nas
atividades vivenciadas pelos agentes não-governamentais em João Pessoa. Desse
modo, pretendemos contextualizar a realidade experenciada pelas comunidades
migrantes venezuelanas na capital paraibana, compreender de quais modos as
interações entre estes agentes e os acolhidos funcionam, assim como as ações de
acolhimento e integração realizadas através da instituição Aldeias Infantis SOS Brasil
e analisar o papel do profissional de Línguas Estrangeiras Aplicadas às Negociações
Internacionais como atuante em Organizações não-governamentais. A metodologia
investigativa qualitativa utilizada foi a observação participante moderada, aplicada em
três situações formais de acolhimento, a qual teve como ferramentas a participação
nas situações cotidianas da ONG, observação das três situações de interação,
descrição das experiencias e entrevistas informais com os agentes envolvidos nessas
situações. Os resultados parciais demonstram que, a intercompreensão em conjunto
com outros instrumentos linguísticos, são didáticas aplicáveis à realidade das ações
de acolhimento de migrantes e refugiados, porém, com o objetivo comunicativo, o
qual, este trabalho se configurou. De tal maneira, este trabalho mostra-se relevante
para todos aqueles que lidam direta e indiretamente com a mediação linguística no
contexto migratório
