The present study aimed to investigate whether recreational activities have influences on
physical and cognitive development of children process and see what fun activities are in the
research institution and, therefore, identification of spaces and equipment available to carry
out the activities. The methodology was qualitative research, through observations and a
questionnaire. The research institution was a Reference Center for Early Childhood Education
(CREI), located in the city of João Pessoa. In remarks had the collaboration of three teachers,
but only two of them answered. The four monitors contributed both in observations and in the
questionnaire. The survey was conducted in the four classes of CREI, I Maternal, Maternal II,
Pre I and Pre II. Our analysis was based on the record of visits in the four classes, and based
on the results of surveys conducted with two teachers and four monitors. From the analysis of
the data obtained, we found that survey participants are aware of the importance of
playfulness to the development of the teaching-learning process of children.O presente trabalho teve como objetivo investigar se as atividades lúdicas têm influências no
processo de desenvolvimento físico e cognitivo das crianças, bem como verificar quais
atividades lúdicas existem na instituição pesquisada e, consequentemente, a identificação dos
espaços e equipamentos disponíveis para a realização das atividades. A metodologia utilizada
foi a pesquisa qualitativa, através de observações e questionário. A instituição pesquisada foi
um Centro de Referência em Educação Infantil (CREI), localizado na cidade de João Pessoa.
Nas observações tivemos a colaboração de três professoras, mas apenas duas responderam o
questionário. As quatro monitoras contribuíram tanto nas observações quanto no questionário.
A pesquisa foi realizada nas quatro turmas do CREI, Maternal I, Maternal II, Pré I e Pré II.
Nossa análise foi baseada no registro das visitas nas quatro turmas, e com base nos resultados
dos questionários realizados com as duas professoras e as quatro monitoras. A partir das
análises dos dados obtidos, constatamos que os participantes da pesquisa têm conhecimento
da importância do lúdico para o desenvolvimento do processo de ensino aprendizagem das
crianças
